The medical or dental implant (endoprothetic or exoprothetic) is made from a hard material and its shape is obtained from a 3-dimensional analysis of a mould or topographical representation of the damaged/disordered region of the body. The resulting 3-dimensional record is then used to construct the missing part. The region may be scanned optically or electrooptically etc. The implant is useful for dental mechanics.
