A drilling machine, in which a tool magazine for receiving drills, countersinks and the like is attached directly on the machine, is proposed. The tool magazine has contacts, by means of which it is possible to ascertain which tool is extracted. The contact-making during the extraction of a tool serves at the same time for setting the rotational speed of the drilling machine. <IMAGE>
