PURPOSE:To economically process a bag-like separation body by stacking separation bodies with either one or both of a separator and a glass mat coated with an adhesive on their peripheries then heating and pressing them. CONSTITUTION:A separator 1 and a plate-like glass mat 2 are stuck to each other in advance. The adhesive 3 previously coated on the periphery of the glass mat 2, e.g., both side edges and the lower edge, is made of a heat sensitive adhesive, a pressure sensitive adhesive, or contact cement, and it is dried after being coated. Two separation bodies are stacked so that the surfaces coated with the adhesive 3 are faced to each other, a separation plate 4 is inserted between them, then the coated sections of the adhesive 3 are heated or pressed with heating or pressing rolls 5 to stick the coated sections of the adhesive 3, thus completing a separation body with a positive electrode plate 4 inserted in it. |
