A splash proof plug socket time switch has a top hinged lid (4) for a plug socket (5), and a further lid (3) for a switch setting disc (2). When closed, the lid (4) abuts a forwardly projecting peripheral wall (13) of the socket (5), and a tubular internal part (7) of the lid (3) abuts the front of the time switch to enclose the switch setting disc (2) so as to protect the plug socket and switch setting disc from water splashed onto the time switch. <IMAGE> |
