The invention relates to a flush-mounted switch having a rocker, which switch can be mounted from the rearside by means of a rocker cap which is suspended in the insertion opening of a housing wall. For this purpose, the rocker cap has threaded-in channels which are formed on its broad sides by means of which it can be suspended on lateral projections into the insertion opening in the housing wall, for support such that it can pivot. Provided in the opposite narrow sides of the rocker are recesses behind which webs, which are fit for this purpose, of the rocker cap latch during insertion. The broad sides of the flush-mounted switch are provided with upwardly bent supporting arms which limit the insertion depth after insertion of the flush-mounted switch. In consequence, at the same time they form an abutment for the rocker switch, which is latched to the rocker cap.
