PURPOSE:To detect a fault easily and to attain a close and effective program debug by providing a tracing device to detect a fact that a specific area of a memory is referred to under the unset program conditions. CONSTITUTION:While a CPU10 is executing a program, a tracing device 18 checks whether the program under execution is coincident with the specific program conditions which are previously set and registered. When no coincidence is obtained, the device 18 checks whether the relevant program is coincident with plural specific addresses set and registered to a main memory 14 which is referred to by the CPU10. If the coincidence is obtained, the device 18 stores a fetch address of an instruction referred to said specific address into a stack provided within the device 18 in response to the specific address. The information thus stored into the stack is read and delivered by the CPU10. A fault can be easily detected by studying the output information. This attains a close and effective program debug. |
