PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity characteristics of a photosensitive body in a longer wavelength region by using as the photosensitive layer of an electrophotographic sensitive body a photoconductive film contg. a specified azulenium salt compd. CONSTITUTION:An objective electrophotographic sensitive body is obtained by preparing an azulenium salt compd. represented by formula I [each of R1-R7 is H, halogen, a univalent org. residue, or the like; each of R8 and R9 is alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, or the like; each of R10-R13 is H, alkyl, alkoxy, halogen, or hydroxy; and (n) is 0, 1, or 2], such as typical compds of formula II or III, and vapor depositing said azulenium salt compd. on a conductive substrate of an aluminum cylinder or the like by the vacuum evaporation method or the like, or coating the conductive substrate with said compd. dispersed into a proper binder to form a film. |
