摘要 PURPOSE:To accurately perform restriction of the nose dive occurring at a quick braking time by intensifying the attenuation force of a suspension system or the spring constant thereof when a vehicle is placed in the braked condition and the detection signal for variation in posture of the vehicle due to pitching exceeds the specified value. CONSTITUTION:When a brake pedal is stepped on to brake a vehicle at the driving time thereof, a brake switch 6 is turned on to generate an output from a brake starting state discriminating means 34 to a posture variation ratio calculating means 35, which computes a ground clearance variation amount DELTAHs per unit of hour according to the ground clearance detecting signal DH of a ground clearance detector 7. The ground clearance variation amount DELTAHs is then compared with the specified value ''a'' by a posture variation ratio discriminating means 36. In case of DELTAHs>''a'', said means 36 generates a control signal CS which intensifies the attenuating force of each of shock absorbers 1L and 1R mounted on the right and left wheels, respectively, for the predetermined time. When the brake pedal is released from the stepping on load, the attenuating force is placed under variable control via a brake completion discriminating means 38, a posture variation ratio calculating means 39 and a posture variation amount discriminating means 40.
