<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the meandering of a rolling material and to stabilize its rolling by operating the difference between the detected results of detectors, provided to both sides of the material for detecting its width position, to obtain the meandering quantity of the material and changing the roll gaps at both sides of mill rolls. CONSTITUTION:A rolling material 10 is projected from its under side by a light source 11, and the received quantity of light at a part not shielded by the material 10 is detected by a detector 12 and is converted into a signal, which is outputted to a meandering-quantity arithmetic unit 13. The meandering quantity is operated by the unit 13 to output it as a meandering-quantity deviation signal to a meandering adjuster 14. Further, the changing quantities of roll gaps at both sides operated by the adjuster 14, are outputted as the commands to a hydraulic rolling-reduction control device 15, to open and close a servovalve in correspondence with the commands of roll gap changing quantities. Then, the flow rates of a pressurized oil inflowing and outflowing to/from hydraulic cylinders 7 at both sides are controlled to change the roll gaps so that the meandering of material 10 is prevented from growing larger and is returned to a target value.</p> |
