PURPOSE:To provide the titled resin having excellent mechanical properties, adhesivity, heat-resistance, and solvent-resistance, and useful as paint, adhesive, etc., by reacting an organic diisocyanate with a long-chain diol and a specific compound containing amino group, etc. CONSTITUTION:The objective resin is produced by reacting (A) an organic diisocyanate with (B) a long-chain diol, (C) an amino group-containing compound having two primary and/or secondary amino groups and a hydroxyl group, and if necessary (D) a short-chain diol. The component C is e.g. the compound of formula (R3 is H, alkyl, or OH-containing alkyl; R4 is H or alkyl; X is bivalent residue obtained by removing glycidyl groups from a diglycidyl compound).
