PURPOSE:To make it possible to easily attach and remove a hob and a hob arbor, by inserting a piston rod in a hollow spindle journalled to a hob head, and as well by attaching a chuck mechanism for securing one end of draw-bar to the front end of the piston rod. CONSTITUTION:When hydraulic pressure is fed in a chamber S2 in a cylinder unit 23, a piston rod 25 is advanced overcoming a Bellerville spring 22, and therefore a chunk mechanism 21 is opened. At this time a cylinder unit 30 is driven to insert a draw-bar 31 which is inserted and held in an arbor support 3, into a hob arbor 10, and a pull-stud section 32 is set in the opened chuck mechanism 21. When the piston rod 25 is allowed to be moved rightward by means of the Bellerville spring 22, the chuck mechanism 21 grips the pull-stud section 32 and then pulls the draw-bar 31 to fit both end tapered sections 11, 12 of the hob arbor respectively into a spindle 20 and a tapered recess section in the arbor support 3. Accordingly, the hob 2 and the hob arbor 10 are held and secured between the arbor support 3 and the spring 20. Thus, the attachment and removal of the hob assembly may be surely and simply made. |
