The rotor for a claw pole type dynamo consists of two identical and interleaving sections. Each section is produced from a cylindrical steel blank by press forming in stages. First the hub (2) is formed with a collar (3) produced by compressing the blank. In the next stages, teeth (3') are formed which are later bent over so that they lie parallel to the rotor axis to give the poles. The hub is pierced (4) for the rotor shaft. The method of production lends itself to mfr. on a series of presses, and requires only very few cutting operations.
|
