PURPOSE:To improve the stability of a colored image and an uncolored portion to water and to reduce the fogging of the uncolored portion, by providing a thermal layer whose main components are a color-forming material and a specified thiourea compound as a developer. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal recording material having a thermal layer whose main components are a colorless or light-colored color-forming material and a developer developing a color in reaction with this color-forming material, at least one kind out of diphenyl-bis-thiourea expressed by the formula I , diphenyl- p-phenylene-dithiourea expressed by the formula II and diphenyl-m-phenylene- dithiourea expressed by the formula III is used as the developer. The color-forming material used herein is a material which forms a color in thermal reaction with the developer, and various leuco compounds, such as those of triphenylmethane, fluoran, leuco-auramine and spiropyran, for instance, can be cited therefor. |
