PURPOSE:To solve deficient processing time of a control part by generating the gate signal which takes out character signals overlapped on the television signal only at the position where the character signals are overlapped. CONSTITUTION:A horizontal synchronizing signal H and a vertical synchronizing signal V are separated from the television signal which impresses on an input terminal 1 in a synchronizing separator circuit 3. A line counter 10 counts the number of horizontal scans within one field, and outputs the timing counting value to a comparator 21. An I/O22 where the overlapped position of the character signals from a CPU17 of a control part 16 outputs the value to the comparator 21. When the counting value of the line counter 10 and the value which indicates the overlapped position coincide, the comparator 21 outputs the gate signal which takes out the character signal from the television signal to buffers 13 and 14 through an inverter 12. |
