In a single-beam photometer operating according to the gas filter correlation method having a radiation source, a measuring cuvette, a receiver and an aperture wheel, which is disposed between the radiation source and the measuring cuvette and which periodically interrupts the light beam and is provided with at least one selection cuvette, for analysing one or more components of a test gas, which are accompanied by at least one interfering component, the aperture wheel periodically switches a gas volume having a predefined concentration and containing the interfering component or components into the path of the light beam.
