PURPOSE:To eliminate the interchangeability between different kind toner containing vessels by making only a containing vessel containing a designated toner engageable at its discriminating and engaging part to an engaging part on a holding means. CONSTITUTION:A developing unit 2 provided with a developing roller 21, impeller 22, etc. at the inside is installed to the upper part of a copying machine body 1, and a toner vessel 3 provided with an agitator 32 for agitating a toner in the inside is provided along the upper part of a casing 23 for forming a shell of the unit 2. A toner replenishing roller 34 which is turned by an output signal of a toner density sensor is provided axially on a communicating port 33 of the unit 2 and the toner vessel 3. A toner replenishing unit 4 is installed to one end of the toner vessel 3, holds a toner cartridge 6, turns it, making it synchronize with the toner replenishing roller 34, and supplies successively a toner of the inside from one end of the vessel 3. This device is constituted so that only a containing vessel having a designated toner can be engaged. |
