Screen-screw extruder

摘要

The screen-screw extruder separates solids from plastic melts. The plastic is plasticated by a conventional screw in the interior of a counter-rotating screen screw. The rotational speeds of the two screws can be infinitely varied. The melt is relaxed as it flows through the screen perforations. It is thereby cooled and devolatalised. Solids are removed from the plastication chamber through a central bore of the inner screw, via a controllable pressure valve.
