PURPOSE:To obtain a high refractive index plastic lens having >=1.58 refractive index by polymerizing the polymerizable compsn. consisting of the 1st and 2nd components consisting of specific polymerizable monomers or the mixture composed thereof and the 3rd component consisting of a specific polymerizable monomer having a specific refractive index or the mixture composed thereof and contg. 100% in total said components. CONSTITUTION:A high refractive index plastic lens is obtd. by polymerizing the polymerizable compsn. consisting of 30-70wt% polymerizable monomer expressed by the formula I or the mixture thereof, 20-70wt% polymerizable monomer expressed by the formula II or the mixture thereof and 5-30wt% polymerizable monomer having >=1.450 refractive index and expressed by the formula III(R<5> denotes H or CH3, R<6> denotes a satd. aliphat. hydrocarbon group which may contain ether, ester and alcohol of valency (q), (q) denotes 2-6 integers) or the mixture thereof and contg. 100% in total said components. |
