PURPOSE:To perform a long-term overaging treatment of steel plates in a compact furnace by superposing the steel plate emitted from a primary cooling furnace on a guide steel plate, traveling spirally the steel plates in an overaging treatment furnace, changing the direction thereof in the innermost circumferential side and separating the steel plate and the guide steel plate. CONSTITUTION:A steel plate 1 emitted from a primary cooling furnace is superposed on a guide steel plate 2 traveling cyclically at the same speed as the speed of the plate 1 and is fed into an overaging furnace. The plate 2 is traveled by a grooved guide roller group arranged radially with respect to the center of the spiral. When the plate 1 traveling along the outside of the plate 2 arrives at the innermost circumference, both plates 1, 2 are brought to a helical turning device 4 by a deflector roll 11 and are changed in the advancing direction. Then both plates 1, 2, are changed again in the advancing directions by a deflector roll 13 and helical turning device 5. When the plates arrive at a deflector roll 6, the plate 1 is separated from the plate 2 and emerges from the overaging furnace. The plate 2 is directed again to the inlet of the furnace and is superposed on the plate 1. |
