PURPOSE:To uniform photoelectric energy that each segment receives and obtain an uniformly irradiated surface with the small number of zoning by arranging an elliptic condenser mirror so that a cylindrical photoelectric power distribution on the incidence surface perpendicular of an integrator to the optical axis. CONSTITUTION:Orthogonal coordinates are set up on a condenser lens array 6, seven elliptic condenser mirrors 3a, 3b...3g are arrayed in an X-Y plane without havng one focus in overlapping relation, and the photoelectric power distribution on the integrator is shaped. Three of individual combinations of the elliptic condenser mirrors 3a, 3b...3g and Xe lamps 4a, 4b...4g are represented on an X axis, and photoelectric power distributions (a), (b), and (c) are arranged at specific distance. At this time, their composite photoelectric power distribution is as shown by (d). This operation is performed within the X-Y plane to obtain a cylindrical photoelectric power distribution which has symmetry of rotation about a Z axis. |
