PURPOSE:To perform sealing of a motor car body automatically by performing carrying-in, positioning, opening of door, application of a sealing material using a sealing robot, closing the door, and finally carrying out. CONSTITUTION:A motor car body 24 is carried in by a conveyor 20, and a truck 22 into a sealing stage, allowed to stand still after positioning to a predetermined position and is held after opening the doors, hood, etc. to a predetermined position by an automatic opening/closing device 62, 64. A sealing agent is then applied to necessary parts for sealing using sealing robots 66, 68, 72, and 74, then, the doors and hood, etc. are closed and the body is carried out of the sealing stage. By this method, the sealing work is performed efficiently and automatically.
