<p>A two-state electromagnetic device comprises an energizing winding (305) and a magnetic circuit comprising yokes and at least one armature (301), the armature comprising a permanent magnet (302) and two pole pieces (303, 304) forming with at least two yoke surfaces two air-gap zones each comprising two opposing air gaps. The yoke surfaces bounding the opposing air gaps of each air-gap zone are associated with respective yoke arms (308, 310, 309, 311) which are magnetically insulated from one another. A permanent magnet (314) is interposed between the two yoke arms (308 and 310 or 309 and 311) associated with each air-gap zone so that the flux flow in each air gap is boosted by the presence of permanent magnets upstream and downstream of the air gap. <IMAGE></p> |
