NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formula I [R<1> is thiazolyl, formula II (R<6> is amino which may be protected, thiadiazolyl; R is residue of aliphatic hydrocarbon which may be substituted; R<3> is H, lower alkyl; R<4> is H, halogen, lower alkyl, -O-R<7> (R<7> is H, lower alkyl, acyl); R<5> is carboxyl, its ester; where when R<3> is H, R<4> is not lower alkyl and, when R<3> is lower alkyl, R<4> is lower alkinyl, further, when R<4> is other than lower alkyl, R is (substituted)alkyl, (substituted)alkenyl] and its salt. EXAMPLE:7-[2-( 2-Amino-4-thiazolyl )-2-methoxyiminoacetamide]-2,3-dimethyl-3- cephem-4-carboxylic acid (syn-isomer). USE:Antibacterial against gram-positive and -negative bacteria. PREPARATION:A carboxylic acid of formula IV is allowed to act on 7-amino-3- cephem compound of formula III to give the objective compound. |
