PURPOSE:To simplify the decoding and to improve the decoding speed by eliminating the need for shift operation of a register while using different setting value of the initial value. CONSTITUTION:The initial set value is set to the 1st register group 31 and also the initial value including a syndrome is set to the 2nd register group 32, the contents of the 1st and 2nd registers 31, 32 are made correspond to a divisor and a dividened, the contents of the 1st and 2nd registers 31, 32 are used so as to obtain an error location polynomial delta(z) and an error variation polynomial (z) by using the Euclidean algorithm. [U0(z)=1, r-1(z)=z<6>], that is, (1, 1,000,000) is set as the initial value of the 1st register 31 and [00, S(z)] is set as the initial value of the 2nd register so as to obtain ri(z) and Ui(z). The order of the ri(z) decreased less than t=i is detected and the delta(z), omega(z) are obtained from the contents of the register groups 31, 32. |
