PURPOSE:To enable earth having the low degree of moisture to be taken out directly from the water, by a method wherein underwater earth is separated from ground bed as an attraction force is exerted on a form wall thrusted in the ground bed, and a drop preventing member is caused to face on an opening part while the device is present in water. CONSTITUTION:The form wall of an earth containing chamber 4, which serves to prevent underwater ground bed forming earth from flowing in an inlet from the outside, is thrusted in a ground bed, the underwater ground bed earth is dehydrated through a screening and absorbing wall 2 through the adsorption force of a suction source connecting passage 8 being open to a suction working chamber 3 as the earth is attracted to a suction chamber 4. Earth drop protecting members 7, consisting of a retainer part 13 and an arm part 14, are pivotally secured to swing fulcrums 5 in the upper outer wall of a dehydrating cylinder 1 to swing the members through the working of hydraulic cylinders 6. During separation after adsorption of the underwater earth, the members 7 are caused to face on the opening of the chamber 4 while the opening of the chamber is present in water to support earth. This enables the earth to be efficiently dehydrated and separated from the bed. |
