This package is constituted by a box 1 and a lid 4, both preferably made from plastic material of appropriate rigidity. The periphery of the upper edge of the box 1 has a rim 3 slightly inclined to the outside from top to bottom corresponding with an edge 6 which the cover 4 has over its entire periphery and whose lower part ends with a slight recess 7 which is concave towards the outside. The latter applies a thrust towards the lower part of the edge which the box also has on its upper periphery, which ensures the closing of the assembly by pressure. This package is more particularly intended for the transport of fruit, particularly fragile fruit. <IMAGE>
