PURPOSE:To enable to obtain an accurate phase discriminator regardless of the magnitude of A.C. input values by direct comparison between the magnitudes of the rectified wave forms from the A.C. inputs. CONSTITUTION:A.C. outputs Ia, Ib corresponding to A.C. inputs A, B from an A.C. input transformer 1 are drawn out as absolute values ¦Ib¦, ¦Ib¦ of half-wave rectified output of plus side and minus side of A.C. signal Ia, Ib respectively through capacitors 4 absorbing transient distorbtions and higher harmonics and current limiting resisters 5. Comparators 6-1 and 6-2 respectively discriminate by comparing whether the peak value of [¦Ia¦-¦Ib¦] is less than or equal to the peak value of ¦Ia¦ per plus side or minus side of half-wave rectified output and, thereby it is discriminated whether the phase angle theta between A.C. input A and B remains within + or -90 deg. or above thereof. This system is simpler than the type of electromagnetic or electrostatic one in constitution and further operable one of higher speed is available. |
