<p>PURPOSE:To prevent noise between programs and erasing of preceding programs even in case of consecutive recording through stops in a VTR. CONSTITUTION:When the mode is switched from the stop mode to the recording mode again, a mechanism control circuit 20 outputs a brake command and a loading command to a take-up reel brake means 24 and a loading motor driving circuit 22 respectively, and the circuit 20 outputs a stop command when information indicating that a taper running system is set after completion of loading is inputted from a loading position detecting circuit 21, and therefore, the tape position is not moved at a loading/unloading time. Thereafter, the mechanism control circuit 20 sends a command, which rotates a capstan 5 in the reverse direction, to a capstan motor driving circuit 23 to return a tape 19, which is caught between the capstan 5 and a pinch roller 6 press-fitted to the capstan 5, by a certain length. The speed and the rotation time of the capstan 5 are so set that this returned length of the tape 19 is equal to or slightly shorter than a tape length required for phase matching which is performed at a recording start time thereafter.</p> |
