A slide fastener comprises water-resistant and transverselystretchable stringer tapes having reinforced edge margins, with coupling teeth rows engageable across a central axis of the fastener. When the teeth are uncoupled, the edge margins project towards each other beyond the central axis, and each margin includes an elastically deformable core tape and pref. projects as far as the teeth tips. Pref., the stringer tapes carry soft sealing layers of synthetic rubber or synthetic resin, which enwrap the reinforced edge margins. |
