PURPOSE:To suppress the fluctuation of an amount of floating to a small amount by constituting the boundary face between a sliding surface and a reversely tapered surface to have inclination to the sliding surface. CONSTITUTION:The boundary face 3A has relatively large area between the sliding surface 1 and reversely tapered surface 2 and has an inclination D. The inclination D is about 3-30 deg.. When the dimension A increases, width C of the sliding surface decreases and positive pressure decreases. Conversely, when the dimension A decreases, the dimension C increases and positive pressure goes to larger. Positive pressure E and negative pressure F of the head slider 10 change almost similarly to the change of the dimension A. Accordingly, the change of positive pressure and negative pressure is offset to reduce the fluctuation of the amount of floating are produced. |
