In an injection pump for injection internal combustion engines, a rotatable pump piston (4) is provided for adjustment of the delivery quantity, for the rotary drive of which pump piston a rotatable control sleeve (9) is provided. For adjustment of the start of delivery, the piston (4) is axially displaced in the direction of its reciprocating movement, a control sleeve (15), arranged coaxially with the control sleeve (9), being coupleable, fixedly in terms of rotation, to an adjusting screw (3). The two control sleeves (9, 15) mesh with corresponding control rods (23, 24), for which gear toothings (25, 26) are provided. The gear toothings (25, 26) of the coaxial sleeves (9, 15) are connected to one another in the axial direction of the pump and are designed of equal height in an axial direction. The axes (27, 28) of the control rods (23, 24) are arranged in a common cross-sectional plane of the pump, the two control rods (23, 24) being of identical design. <IMAGE>
