In an engine bearing composed of a rubber-metal component, a counter force, by means of which any resonance of the engine is counteracted, is to be produced in the event of a force caused by unevenness of the roadway and acting on the chassis. For this purpose a core composed of solid material is arranged between two parts of elastomer material, which are each connected to a rigid outer part connecting with the engine or the chassis, which core performs an oscillation corresponding to the oscillation frequency of the engine and acting approximately transversely to the engine oscillation and is so formed in relation to the outer parts that in one of the directions of oscillation its distance from the outer parts is reduced, increasing the spring rate of the bearing arrangement.
