PURPOSE:To reduce the volume of non-combustibles by a method wherein a ratio of solid to gas is decrease, petroleum cokes are transported in a gaseous flow and at the same time the fine powder cokes are ejectd outwardly to dieperse in respect to an outer circumference of the flame caused by auxiliary fuel. CONSTITUTION:Swirling vanes 3 as fine powder cokes dispersion member are fixed to the extremity end of the heavy oil burner 4. With this arrangement, the gas containing fine powder cokes ejected from the fine powder cokes burner 2 is dispersed outwardly by a swirling force produced by swirling vanes 3 and a slight direct contact is found between the large volume of primary air and the heavy oil flame 14, resulting in that a less volume of NOx is found. The petrolum cokes are ignited by themselves by a high furnace temperature generated by petroleum flame not even under a direct contact with the petroleum flame 14 so as to continue the combustion. With this arrangement, it is possible to decrease a volume of non-combustibles in the incombustible fuel such as petroleum cokes while the generating volume of NOx is slightly restricted.
