PURPOSE:To obtain a high activity and long life carbon dioxide absorbing material, by molding a resin composition consisting of a thermoplastic resin and slaked lime into a sheet like form and, after applying boiling treatment to the molded sheet in water, removing moisture adhered to the surface of the sheet before drying. CONSTITUTION:A resin composition consisting of 100pts.wt. of a thermoplastic resin such as polyethylene and 50-200pts.wt. of slaked lime treated with a titanium coupling agent is molded into a sheet which is, in turn, subjected to boiling treatment in water and, after moisture adhered to the surface of sheet is removed, the sheet is dried at 50-80 deg.C for 5-30min. As the above-mentioned sheet, a monoaxially stretched sheet or biaxially stretched sheet stretched to a monoaxial direction by 1.1-4 times is used. By this method, a high activity and long life carbon dioxide absorbing material is obtained. |
