PURPOSE:To improve the writing speed to a memory of a reduced screen by changing the writing system between a reception mode of the reduced screen and a reception mode of a normal screen according to the screen size information received previously. CONSTITUTION:When a reduced screen is received, a data reception clock CL is supplied to a write control part 11 to start this part 11. The part 11 transmits a memory write enable signal MWN and a memory write timing signal MWT until a write end signal END is supplied from a counter 16 and performs writing of the same data. While the counter 16 is counted up while the signal MWT is delivered and transmits the signal END to the part 11 when the writing is carried out in response to a reduction ratio. As a result, the horizontal and vertical addresses ADR1 and ADR2 delivered directly from counters 12 and 13 are written to a memory after the values of counters 12 and 13 are converted and enlarged by selection circuits 17 and 18.
