PURPOSE:To exactly measure the level of ink liquid by setting a sensor almost vertically to the level of ink liquid on an ink storage tank. CONSTITUTION:¦A recession 36 is provided in a tank 30, and a projection 37 is provided on the recession 36. A pair of sensors (electrode plate, etc.) 38 are set in mutually facing manner on both side walls of the projection 37. The measurement of liquid level can thus be exactly made without adherence of ink to the inner surface of the projection 37 during the period when ink is reduced or vibrated, and the rise of liquid level inside of the projection by surface tension forces can be prevented by increasing the inside area of the projection. The measurement accuracy of the liquid level can be raised. |
