PURPOSE:To produce products of high quality efficiently without suffering any danger and complexity of work by detecting errors from the accurate position of the reference mark of a plate and correcting and aligning the reference axis of the machine side and the reference axis of the plate for pressing. CONSTITUTION:In an automatic press machine 7 provided with a press 9, a device 13 that moves and positions a plate to the center of the press, a detecting device 15 of the reference mark and a numerical value controlling device 17, an error from the accurate position of the plate provided beforehand at a specified position is detected by the detecting device 15 and outputted to the numerical value controlling device 17. Basing on this error, the numerical value controlling device 17 rotates the plate through the turntable 43 of a fixed table 37 that holds the plate from the lower face, corrects and aligns the reference axis of machine side and reference axis of plate side, and, when necessary, corrects a mobile positioning device 13. Then, the carriage of the mobile positioning device 13 is operated to advance the plate onto a lower die 39, and press work is performed by the press 9. |
