PURPOSE:To improve the tool replacing speed thus to shorten the cycle time by feeding/returning a tool from a tool magazine through master arm, and attitude converting arm to each vertical and lateral tool spindle on a head. CONSTITUTION:With correspondence to a tool replacing signal, a supporting member 26 will move in the direction perpendicular with the turning axis of master arm 23 to catch a tool at the tool spot on magazine 19 thus to advance the turning shaft 25 and to draw out a tool. Then the arm 23 will turn and stop at the position for passing a tool from an attitude converting vertical arm 49 thereafter retreat again to pass a tool on the arm 23 to an attitude converting vertical arm 49. Then the arm 23 will go away to turn the coverting arm 49 by 180 deg. thus to convert a vertical tool pot 55 into vertical direction. Upon turning of vertical arm 59 by 180 deg. to catch a tool on the tool pot 55 and advance, the tool is drawn out from the pot 55 to turn the vertical arm 59 again by 180 deg. and retreat thus to mount the tool quickly onto the vertical spindle 17. It is performed similarly in case of lateral shaft. |
