PURPOSE:To allow an object to be polished to be precisely polished by containing an adhesive agent in an abrasion layer and sticking the abrasion debris generated during polishing to this abrasion layer. CONSTITUTION:A heat sensing adhesive agent is contained in the abrasion layer of a polishing tape provided with the abrasion layer made of an abrasion material, a binder, and an additive agent on a flexible support body. This heat sensing adhesive agent has no blocking feature of the polishing tape at a normal temperature, it exerts adhesion via the friction heat generated while polishing, and abrasion debris is stuck to the polishing tape, thus allowing uniform polishing. As an example of such a heat sensing adhesive agent, saturated polyester resin, silicone resin, acrylic resin, epoxy resin (unhardened), etc. with a low melting point can be used. |
