An electric relay has a housing (1) and a magnet system (12). This has an L-shaped yoke (15). The longer yoke limb (21) touches against a supporting surface of the housing (1) which, in the region between the operating arm (18) of the armature (16) and the shorter yoke limb (19), has a lateral wall (29) which is bounded on the one side by the supporting surface (23) and on the other side by a clamping surface (30) which is accessible from the side of the housing. A spring bracket (37) engages with a first bracket limb (38) between the coil (13) and the longer yoke limb (21) and rests against the latter. A second bracket limb (39) engages in the housing (1) and rests against the clamping surface (30). This results in a simple installation in which tolerance differences have no disadvantageous role. <IMAGE>
