In known vacuum cleaners, a filter bag is arranged as a dust collector in the suction chamber through which the dust-laden air stream is led. Although most of the dust particles are collected in the filter bag, the air stream leaving the apparatus contains a considerable proportion of fine dust particles which are spread through the area being cleaned. In order also to retain inside the vacuum cleaner those dust particles held in the exhaust air, this air is cleaned with a filter 18 which forms part of the filter bag 15. Replacing a filled filter bag means that the exhaust air filter is also replaced. Thus, there will be no decrease in suction power due to clogging of the exhaust air filter. <IMAGE> |
