PURPOSE:To decrease the excessive printing density right under a heat roller when printing is interrupted and to increase an effective printing speed by reducing the time for detaching a pressing roller. CONSTITUTION:A cam follower shaft 22 which moves a pressing roller engages with a lift cam 33. The shaft 24 driving the cam 33 has a timing pulley 34 and is driven by a motor 37 via a belt 36. The motor 37 is controlled so as to move back and forth the cam 33 between the positions A and C when the intermission time of printing is short. The motor 37 is so driven as to move the cam 33 to the position B when the intermission time of printing is long (for example, >=sec). The position of the cam 3 is changed from B to A in the stage of restarting the printing. The respective stop positions of the cam 33 are controlled by the sensor disposed in a cam shaft 24. |
