PURPOSE:To obtain a leathery sheetlike material having improved light resistance and hydrolytic resistance, soft feeling and high durability, by laminating a bonding layer consisting of a specific polyurethane polymer and a surface coating layer one after another on a fiber substrate. CONSTITUTION:A leathery sheetlike material obtained by laminating a bonding layer capable of forming a polymer layer consisting essentially of a crosslinking curable polyurethane obtained by reacting (A) a high polymer diol consisting essentially of a polycarbonate diol with (B) an organic diisocyanate and (C) a polyurethane synthesized from a low-molecular active compound expressed by the formula (R1 is 2-12C alkylene; either one of R2 and R3 is hydroxy-ethyl or hydroxy-propyl, and the other is H, 1-10C alkyl, hydroxy-ethyl or hydroxy-propyl) or further with an organic polyisocyanate to a surface coating layer of a layer consisting of a polymer consisting essentially of a polyurethane synthesized from (D) a polycarbonate diol, (E) a diisocyanate, e.g. an aliphatic diisocyanate, (F) an organic diamine, e.g. an aliphatic diamine, and (G) if necessary a hydrazine, etc. one after another on a fiber substrate.
