PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent image which has, what is called, no moire phenomenon in image reproduction by arranging a grid at right angles to the direction of scanning on a storage fluorescent material plate with exciting light, and performing radiographing. CONSTITUTION:Radiation is absorbed by the storage fluorescent material plate 6 during the radiographing through the grid 21 provided to the front plate 7a of a cassette 7 to form an image. When the storage fluorescent material plate 6 is rotated from a feeding part A clockwise through the operation of a drum part B and reaches a specific position, a laser beam from a laser 13 is projected upon the storage fluorescent material plate 6 adhered to the drum 10 to generate fluorescence. The output signal of information of the fluorescence converted electrically by a photomultiplier 18 is processed by a signal processing part 19 to reproduce a radiation image. At this time, the storage fluorescent material plate 6 is scanned at right angles to the direction of the grip 21 of the cassette 7, so variation in the level of energy generated on the storage fluorescent material plate 6 by the grid 21 is canceled by the exciting light to prevent the generation of, what is called, moire, thereby obtaining a sharp reproduced image. |
