PURPOSE:To distribute spacers uniformly on the glass substrate of a panel and holding the gap thickness between front surface glass and a substrate for liquid-crystal display precisely by arranging the substrate on which spacers are dispersed in a dispersing container and arranging a spacer sprayer over it. CONSTITUTION:The spacer sprayer 14 is fixed on the spacer dispersing container 15. The spacer sprayer 14 has a spacer holding member 17 which has a column and a pan for spacers in the center where spacers 10 are held. The spacer dispersing container 15 has one arrangement plate 19 which is used to arrange an external box 18 in the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped and a substrate 7 for liquid-crystal display and also has numbers of holes smaller than said substrate 7 on which spacers are made fall except a substrate 7 for liquid-crystal display. Then the substrate 7 for liquid-crystal display on which TFT element 4, etc., are formed is arranged on the arrangement plate 19. Spacers 10 are weighed and made fall on the spacer pan 17b, and gas is flowed out for a prescribed time to disperse spacers on the substrate 7 and leave them as they are for a certain time. The spacers 10 dispersed uniformly at the TFT element part 4 specify the gap between the front surface glass 3 and liquid-crystal display substrate 7. For the purpose, the diameters of dispersed spacers are selected to obtain optional gap thickness precisely. |
