Provided is a driving device capable of minimizing noise generated from a driving device that is equipped with a structure in which a member to be driven is engaged by way of a frictional force with a driving shaft coupled to a piezoelectric element. The driving device includes: a piezoelectric element (10); a driving shaft coupled to the piezoelectric element (10) and displaced in the axial direction; a member to be driven engaged with the driving shaft by way of a frictional force; and a driving circuit (101) for driving the piezoelectric element (10). The driving circuit (101) includes: a pulse generation circuit (102) for applying a driving pulse to the piezoelectric element (10); and a control circuit (103) for controlling a driving pulse output from the pulse generation circuit (102). When driving the piezoelectric element (10), the control circuit (103) controls the pulse generation circuit (102) to output a first driving pulse, and at the timing when the member to be driven is most displaced by inertia while the piezoelectric element (10) is deactivated after being driven, the control circuit (103) controls the pulse generation circuit (102) to output a second driving pulse different from the first driving pulse.
