The method of binding elongate products (2) involves receiving and storing a number of the products in a tray (11-16) located at a first position, and transporting the tray to a second position where at least one continuous binding strip extends through the tray. The products are then moved in a direction perpendicular to the binding strip, so that they are progressively embraced by the strip. The strip is welded at opposite ends of the embraced portion to form a binding band around the products, and is severed at the welded portion. - |
