PURPOSE:To position a drum unit accurately during copying operation and replace a drum easily even when the other terminal side is freed by fixing one terminal of the drum unit which supports a photosensitive body, and fixing or freeing the other terminal. CONSTITUTION:When a tension release lever 31 is rotated as shown by an arrow H so as to detach the endless photosensitive body 4 from between drums 16 and 17, a coupling plate 58 fixed on a shaft 54 rotates around the shaft 54. A tension plate 52 is moved to right and held while an L-shaped hole 53 is guided by the shaft 54 according to the movement of a guide pin 59. The current movement extent of the small-diameter drum 17 corresponds to the distance (x) between the shaft 54 and guide pin 59. Thus, the tension plate 52 is moved to right by the distance (x) to reduce the interaxis distance between the large-diameter drum 16 and small-diameter drum 17, and the tension of the photosensitive body is released. Consequently, the photosensitive body 4 is taken out and replaced easily. |
