PURPOSE:To supply oxygen-enriched air having the optimum temp. and humidity to a patient by regulating the temp. and humidity of the oxygen-enriched air and then purifying, and further regulating the temp. of the purified oxygen-enriched air. CONSTITUTION:Air is passed through a membrane module 1 which is selectively permeable to oxygen by the suction of a vacuum pump 2, and sent to a cooling coil 3 as the oxygen-enriched air. Meanwhile, the air is passed through the membrane module 1 by an air fan 4, and the amt. of cooling air is regulated with a cooling air regulating means 12 to adjust the temp. of the oxygen-enriched air to a temp. in the vicinity of the bodily temp. and the humidity to about 100% RH. Then the oxygen-enriched air is purified by passing the oxygen-enriched air through a separation tube 5, a flow-rate regulating valve 6, an activated filter 7, a membrane filter 8, a flowmeter 9, and a takeout port 10, and the purified oxygen-enriched air is sent to a takeout tube 11 in an air discharge tube 14. The air discharged from the cooling coil is used for cooling the pump 2, then sent to the air discharge tube, and regulated by a discharge air regulating means 13 to keep the temp. of the oxygen-enriched air in the vicinity of the bodily temp. of a patient.
