摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the yield of a manufacture process and the reliability of a panel by interposing liquid crystal between an active matrix substrate and a thin glass plate, and using an ultrasonic-ray irradiation setting type adhesive as a sealant which adheres both glass plates to enclose the liquid crystal. CONSTITUTION:A liquid-crystal cell is composed of the active matrix substrate 1 and thin glass plate 8 and the ultrasonic-ray irradiation setting type adhesive is used as the sealant 6 for enclosing liquid crystal 7 by adhering said glass plates 1 and 8 to obtain a liquid-crystal display body device which has the liquid crystal between both plates. Further, gap materials through which ultraviolet rays are transmitted are mixed with said adhesive. Thus, the glass plates are sealed by using the ultrasonic-ray irradiation setting type adhesive to reduce residual stress to the thin glass plate 8 due to the difference in coefficient of thermal expansion between the substrate 1 and thin glass plate 8, prevent cracking and defective gaps during a assembling process, and also shorten a sealing time. Consequently, the assembly yield is improved to improve the reliability after the assembly, and the productivity is also improved.
